ORANGE BEACH, Ala. — Radio’s two sexiest fat men alive will make their annual spring break pilgrimage to the Alabama Gulf Coast as “The Rick and Bubba Show” broadcasts live from Live Bait at The Wharf on Friday, April 3, from 6 to 10:00 a.m.
The public is invited to attend the live broadcast and may enjoy a complimentary breakfast of donuts and coffee, which will be provided by Daylight Donuts in Gulf Shores and Live Bait at The Wharf, respectively.
In addition to the crew’s normal antics and entertainment, the special guest lineup includes music from Brent Burns, a singing parrot, animals from the zoo and representatives from the cities of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, The Wharf, Live Bait, the Gulf Shores Golf Association, the National Museum of Naval Aviation, the Alabama Tourism Department and the Alabama Gulf Coast Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB).
Listeners and audience members will also hear about the newly reorganized Orange Beach Saltwater Series presented by the Red Snapper World Championship.
Also, a month-long promotion will come to an end as the duo announces and calls the winner of The Rick and Bubba Sweepstakes, which includes a three-night stay in Levin’s Bend condominium at The Wharf, four rounds of golf at The Golf Club of The Wharf, Wharf merchandise, a $100 gift certificate and merchandise at the Original Oyster House, a $50 gift certificate to Live Bait and tickets to the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park, the National Museum of Naval Aviation and the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo.
This live broadcast is partnership between the Alabama Tourism Department and the CVB.
“Having Rick and Bubba broadcast live from Alabama’s beautiful Gulf Coast has become an annual tradition each spring,” said Lee Sentell, director of the Alabama Tourism Department. “They have a large and loyal audience who identify with their sense of fun and foolishness. We are delighted to bring them down from Birmingham again this year.”
This comedic, family safe morning show is syndicated and thus carried on more than 60 radio stations in 17 states, mostly throughout the Southeast.
The program can also be heard during the weekdays on XM Radio channel 158 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and is streamed online at www.rickandbubba.com.
