FAIRHOPE, Ala. - Alabama author, occasional Fairhope resident and Pulitzer Prize-winner Rick Bragg will be the guest speaker at the Mobile Writers' Guild meeting this Thursday night.

“His talk is on nonfiction writing,” stated Marvis Jarrell, MWG treasurer and member of the Fairhope-based Pensters Writing Group. “It’s a great opportunity for any writer.”

Bragg won the Pulitzer Prize for Feature Writing in 1996 for his work at The New York Times and is the author of several nonfiction books.

The presentation is at 6 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 6, at the West Regional Branch of the Mobile Public Library on Grelot Road. There will be a book signing following the free event and light refreshments will be served.
