Edna Pearl Rinehart, 89, a native of Kilpatrick and a resident of Summerdale, died Saturday, May 23, 2008.

She was the last living child of 10 children in her family. She served in the U.S. Navy teaching wartime recognition of vehicles to pilots during World War II. She had a degree in Home Economics from the University of Montevallo and was an auditory technician for the University of Iowa; also a former president of the Melbourne, FL branch of American Association of University Women. She and her husband retired after owning and operating their hearing aid center for 28 years.

Survivors include her husband Floyd L. Rinehart of Summerdale; ieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 31 at the Marlow United Methodist Church. Cremains will be interned at the Barrancas National Cemetery, NAS, Pensacola, Fla., at a later time.

The family requests memorial donations be made to your favorite charity.
