Robert Carroll Beecroft, age 86, a native of Columbus, Nebraska and a resident of Foley, Alabama, passed away Monday, Sept. 26, 2016
Robert was an educator in the Sault State Marie, Michigan public schools and a U.S. Army veteran.
He was a believer in the Lord Jesus. Loved people and was a generous man who loved his job.
He was a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge 552. Robert never meet a stranger; he will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ruth Barnes Beecroft of Foley, Alabama; one son, Bill (Sharon) Beecroft of Nashville, Tennessee; one daughter; Carole Beecroft (Allen) Lewis of Elberta, Alabama; three grandchildren, Daniel, Mary, Ryan; and many other nieces, nephews and friends.
A graveside service will be held from Lay Cemetery, Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016 at 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to Boys Town Nebraska, 14100 Crawford St., Boys Town, NE 68010.
