Robert Earl Warhop, 69, a resident of Elberta, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014.

Robert was a loving husband, father and grandfather who loved life. He loved to go camping in their RV and was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved to read.

He was a disabled veteran who proudly served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War.

He retired after 21 years and 3 months from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Coreen “Corey” Warhop of Elberta; children, Richard Earl (Kathleen) Darling of Midland, Texas and Kelley Margaret McClellan of Henderson, Nev.; brother, William Sherman (Evelyn) Warhop II of Conyers, Ga.; sisters, Ramona Jaqualine Fox of Marianna, Fla. and Wyona Elizabeth (Bob) Bartels of Mattoon, Ill.; three grandchildren, Chase and Jordan Darling and Devin Flynn; and many other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held from St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Elberta on Monday, Aug. 18, 2014, at 11 a.m.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Interment will follow at 2 p.m. in Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola.
