Robert Lee “Bob” Brantley, 80, a native of Brewton, and a resident of Daphne, died Friday, Oct. 29, 2010.
He was a Korea War Veteran and served on the LST 1084 in Korean waters, which during the retreat of the United Nations Forces, the LST 1084 beach in North Korea and evacuated hundreds of American soldiers.
Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Anita Maples Brantley; son, Glenn Brantley, both of Daphne; daughter, Janet Lynn (Phillip) White of Mobile; granddaughters, Brianna and Katie Belle Everett; brother, Billy (Elizabeth) Brantley of Fairhope; three sisters, Raycelia (Ronnie) Webb of Mobile, Mary Elizabeth (Ron) Sever of Spanish Fort, and Addie Marie (Franklin) Pierce of Semmes; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 1 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Daphne. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2 from the funeal home chapel. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
