At age 79 he was still riding his bike eight miles a day and kept a daily journal in his “WEEK-AT-A-GLANCE” planner.

Pop has several men locally and in Alabama who he took under his wing to help them accomplish their construction projects, and then remained dear friends thereafter.

He marveled at their youthful creativity and adventurousness. He will be greatly missed.”
