Robert Paul Bills, 71, a native of Hesperia, Mich., and a resident of Verona, died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2010 at his residence.
He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam era, aboard the Franklin D. Roosevelt; was retired from Process Pump Repair as a machinist; and a member of the Living Church of God which he loved with all his heart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nicklas and Lois Sutherland Bills.
Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Dorothy Bates Bills of Verona; three brothers, Gordon Bills, Garry Bills and Wayne (Bonnie) Bills, all of Hesperia, Mich.; three sisters, Kathy (Larry) Mock of Fremont, Mich., Marion Bills and Sharon (Beauford) Perry, all of Hesperia, Mich., brothers and sisters-in-law, George (Pauline) Moulatsiotis of Muskegon, Mich., William R. Bates of Hart, Mich., James (Louann) Bates of South Bend, Ind.; two nieces, Antonio (Dave) Hamilton of Muskegon, Lori (Daniel) Mannor of Hart; two nephews, Bill Moulatsiotis of Muskegon, Daniel Perry of Hesperia; two grand nieces, Josie Mannor and Leah Hamilton; two grand nephews, George Cowen Moulatsiotis and Orion Daniel Mannor; many friends and special neighbors; loving brothers and sisters in his church at Athens, Tenn., and Pensacola, Fla.; and his faithful companion Tyler.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25 from the chapel of London Funeral Home.
