Robert Wilburn “Bob” Chapman, 84, a native of Mobile and a resident of Fairhope, died Saturday, April 30, 2011 in Fairhope.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He flew to Washington, D.C., in September 2010 with Honor Flight South Alabama.
He was preceeded in death by his wife, Alma Jean Chapman.
Survivors include two sons, Curt Chapman of Fairhope and Robert Chapman of Palestine, Texas; three brothers, Carl Chapman of Mobile, Roy Chapman of Satsuma and Marshall Chapman of Hot Springs Village, Ark.; two grandchildren and three-great grandchildren.
He will also be remembered with love by the DelSignore and Flake families of Pensacola, Fla.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the Thomas Hospital Auxiliary, Fairhope.
