ROBERTSDALE, Alabama — Business Information Solutions announces the launch of a new program that will help local organizations with the No. 1 cause of security breaches: employee error.
Local businesses can learn more about prevention of cyber security threats by attending a complimentary lunch seminar on Thursday, Dec. 3 at Wintzell’s Oyster House, 805 Mobile St., Fairhope from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Reservations are required and may be made by visiting askbis.com/seminar3 or calling 251-410-7601.
According to IBM, human error was a contributing factor in more than 95 percent of security incidents investigated. BIS’s newest security offering, will give employees the tools they need to recognize a threat and stop a data breach from occurring.
The lunch seminar is designed for C-level executives and managers who are concerned about lost or stolen devices, privacy of confidential information, employment litigation introduced when employees use personal devices to access company data and State and Federal laws that carry heavy fines for lost or stolen data.
“Business security should be the top priority of any organization, even a small business,” said Phillip Long, owner of BIS. “The best defense is a strong offense.”
Long will discuss seven critical policies, procedures and protections every business must have in place now to protect themselves and how anti-virus software can give you a false sense of security. Attendees will also learn what it takes to protect an organization against new threats and today’s sophisticated cybercrime.
More complimentary lunch and learn opportunities will be held throughout 2016, beginning in January. Visit askbis.com for all the dates and details.
