Robertsdale Elementary Students Explore Science through Art

Second graders at Robertsdale Elementary School are using art and the study of frogs to learn about life cycles. The students first used markers to learn drawing and coloring skills, and to gain an understanding of three dimensional images and pattern creation. They then studied the wildlife art of John James Audubon. Finally the second graders extended their painting skills by learning how to draw cardinals using simple shapes and lines. Pictured are students from Mrs. Randall’s second grade class whose cardinals were put on display for the whole school to share. Art activities at RES are coordinated by art teacher Gabby James.
