ROBERTSDALE, Alabama --- Robertsdale High School Class of 2012 Senior Class President Erica Alexander presented 285 students for graduation Monday night at J.D. Sellars Stadium.
Rain and lightning delayed the ceremony for about 45 minutes but did nothing to dampen the spirits of the graduate or those in attendance.
"It's like we have a fireworks show for our graduation," said Valedictorian Brandon Laird, joining salutatorian Flynn Woods for speeches on the podium.
RHS Principal Craig Ross encouraged students to follow their dreams and follow the example of RHS alum and Apple CEO Tim Cook to "take action."
The 2012 senior class at RHS has earned more than $4.2 million in scholarships.
