ROBERTSDALE, Ala. — A Robertsdale man was arrested on drug charges Monday after police say he was operating a rolling meth lab.
Allen Malcolm Steinke, 27, of Whispering Pines Road North in Robertsdale, was charged with manufacture of a controlled substance, first degree; and possession of a pistol by a drunk/addict, according to the Baldwin County Corrections website.
According to published reports, Steinke was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Blazer around 11:30 p.m. Sunday when he almost hit a state trooper’s car.
The Sheriff’s Department was contacted after the trooper found what was described as the components of a meth lab in the vehicle.
As of Tuesday, Oct. 19, Steinke remained in the Baldwin County Jail on bonds totalling $27,500; $25,000 for the drug charge and $2,500 for the weapons charge.
