ROBERTSDALE, Alabama -- One suspect is in custody and another still on the run in a robbery incident reported Thursday involving a father and his son.
Sgt. Rex Bishop with the Robertsdale Police Department said officers responded to a call of a stolen vehicle on Thursday at a home on Pecan View Drive.
While responding to the call, Bishop said, Jimmie White Sr. of Shell Court reported that his son, Jimmie White Jr. and his son’s girlfriend, Cory Townsend, who both live at the residence, drugged him, tied him up, and stole a large amount cash and power tools from the home. Both homes are located in the Crystal Orchard Mobile Home Park off of County Road 56. The address of both properties is Loxley, but is within Robertsdale’s police jurisdiction, Bishop said.
Warrants for both White and Townsend were issued on charges of robbery, second degree, Bishop said.
Townsend was found driving the stolen vehicle by the Mobile County Sheriff’s Department on Thursday, Bishop said, and was apprehended following a short chase.
White is still at large and has warrants from Robertsdale, as well as other agencies. He is believed to be in the Mobile area. White and Townsend could face additional charges pending an investigation, Bishop said.
Anyone with information in the case is asked to call the Robertsdale Police Department, 251-947-2222.
