The George P. Thames Senior Center honored veterans on Tuesday, Nov. 19 during its Thanksgiving luncheon at the PZK Civic Center. The program featured performances by the Thames Center's Kazoo Band, a line dancing group from Westminster Village and a presentation by Army veteran Pam Edwards, a nurse with Covenant Hospice. Edwards spoke about the Spirit of 45 campain honoring World War II veterans.
