ROBERTSDALE, Ala. — Robertsdale United Methodist Church will have renewal services beginning Sunday, Sept. 25 and continuing through Tuesday, Sept. 27 at 630 p.m. The Rev. Cliff Cobb, pastor of Campground UMC in the Montgomery area, will bring the messages each evening. Youth led worship will be provided by the RUMC Youth Praise Team on Sunday night. On Monday and Tuesday nights, special music will be led by Bill Wade, music minister of Rosinton UMC.

Cobb, a Vietnam veteran and bi-vocational pastor for the last 17 years, has served the Campground United Methodist Church (near Luverne) since 2002. He is retired from the Alabama Forest Service, but continues to preach. Cobb is married to Jeanette and has two sons, Cliff Jr. and Michael. Cobb speaks at numerous retreats, camps, and revivals across Alabama. He is in demand as a speaker for both youth and adults, and has the ability to present the truth of the gospel in a clear, easy to understand manner.

Renewal services at Robertsdale United Methodist Church will kick off Sunday evening with a fellowship dinner at 5:30 p.m. Evening worship services for the three nights will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Separate services for children ages 3 years and up will be led by Rose and Donie Allen, coordinators for Children’s Ministries at Rosinton UMC. Both have served as coordinators at Rosinton UMC for three years. The theme for the children’s special services will be “Soldiers in the Army of the Lord,” using Bible lessons, music, and crafts.
