ROBERTSDALE, Ala. — Robertsdale defensive end Cordero Dade signed with the Alabama A&M Bulldogs on Wednesday during a National Signing Day ceremony.
Dade, a 6-5 200-pound athlete who also plays basketball, said he chose Alabama A&M because of the happy attitude he saw on his recruiting visit there.
"Going up there and seeing everybody smiling and everybody enjoying what they do was nice," Dade said. "I knew that's where I wanted to go."
A resident of Loxley, Dade said it felt good to know where he is going to college.
"It feels good to know," he said. "Now I can focus on my school work and getting a good GPA."
Dade wasn't sure if Alabama A&M would redshirt him or not, but said he was ready to work hard.
"Whether they let me go ahead and play or redshirt, I am ready to play my hardest," he said. "I am ready to work and get in there and play."
