James Edward Robinson, 82, of Texarkana, Ark., died Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009, in a local hospital.
He was born May 5, 1927, in Clarksville, Tenn. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Lillian, the Masonic Lodge, and was retired from Nekoosa Paper Company.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Elvera Robinson, and a daughter, Deborah Nichols.
Survivors include a son, James “Sonny” (Paige) Robinson of Texarkana, Texas; daughter, Nancy (Gus) Fowler of Texarkana; five grandchildren, Jason Nichols, Chelsey Nichols, Heather Fowler, John Edward Robinson and Callie Robinson; and one great-grandchild, Marleigh Marie Looney.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 5 at Pine View Cemetery, Folkston, Ga., with Sammy Pickren officiating. Burial with Masonic rites will follow.
