Dec. 12, the Rock Creek Ladies’ Golf Group presented a $2,500 check to the American Cancer Society. The group raised the money through the second annual Birdies for Gwen golf tournament and fundraiser, which began in honor of Gwen Crowe, who died two years ago after a battle with breast cancer.
