Joseph Donald Rodgers, 66, a resident of the White House Fork community of Bay Minette, died Sunday, Aug. 10, 2008 at the Mobile Infirmary Medical Center, Mobile.

He was a retired Machine Operator for Standard Furniture Manufacturing Company and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his son, Matthew Rodgers and his father, John Lewis Rodgers.

Survivors include his wife, Janice Shianne DeLoach Rodgers of White House Fork; son, Jeremy D. Rodgers of White House Fork; his mother, Mary Louise Rodgers of Panama City, Fla.; two brothers, Edward Rodgers of Chattanooga, Tenn., and John Rodgers of Panama City, Fla.; and two sisters, Mary Anne Pringle of Jackson and Laquita Pridgen of Panama City, Fla.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 13 at Stapleton Church of God with the Rev. J.P. Lambert officiating. Burial followed at White House Fork Baptist Cemetery. The Fort Rucker Honor Guard performed the military honors at graveside.

Active pallbearers were Scotty Rodgers, Brian Rodgers, Bennie Pringle, Tony Smith, Jason Boylan and Clint Barlow.

The family requests memorial donations be made to Mobile Educators Credit Union in the name of Joseph Donald Rodgers 6475 Spanish Fort Blvd, Unit 2, Spanish Fort, AL 36527.

Arrangements were made by Norris Funeral Home, Bay Minette.
