Herman Gilbert Rolin, 71, a native of Poarch and a resident of Bay Minette, died Thursday, June 17, 2010 at North Baldwin Infirmary.
He was the owner and operator at Gilbert’s Machine Shop; was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean Conflict; and was a life member of VFW Post 3568 and D.A.V. White Lee Chapter 53.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Ann Rolin.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Ann “Pat” Bolin Rolin of Bay Minette; son, Joseph G. Rolin of Bay Minette; and two sisters, Lillie Brooks and Alice L. Tolin, both of Poarch.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 22 from the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with the Rev. Leo Luker and the Rev. Brian Dubberly Jr. officiating. Burial followed at Bay Minette Cemetery.
Pall bearers were Elton Brooks, Danny Earl Brooks, Michael Ray Brooks, Douglas Brooks, Danny Price, Jason Bolin and Hunter Clark.
Arrangements were made by Norris Funeral Home, Bay Minette.
