Rolland Charles Priest, 91, a native of Pottsville, Pa. and resident of Bromley, passed away Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014 at home with his family at his side.
He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Beulah Priest; and children, Terrance Priest and Dawn Meredith.
Rolland worked in the maintenance department for the Allentown School System. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Vivian Priest of Bay Minette; daughter, Lori Hood of Bromley; grandchildren, Jake (Patsy) Hood of Bromley, Danielle Kennedy of Daphne, Bridget Hood of Bromley, Jim (Linda) Meredith, Matt Meredith and Nathan Meredith of Fort Wayne, Ind.; great-grandchildren, Austin, David, Daniel, Wesley, Emma and Kaylor; sister, Carol Burlew of San Angelo, Texas; and many other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, Dec. 19, 2014, from 9:30-10:30 a.m., at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne.
Graveside services will follow at 11 a.m. in the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Spanish Fort.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made in Rolland’s name to the William F. Green Veterans Home in Bay Minette.
