Ronald (Ronnie) Walker Northcutt, 80, beloved husband, father, and brother went to his heavenly home on Monday, Jan. 10, 2022. Ronnie was born Jan. 11, 1942, at their home in Rosinton, Alabama, to Cordie and Florence Northcutt.

Ronnie received his Bachelor of Agriculture Education and Master of Business Administration degrees at Auburn University. Ronnie retired as a professor from Faulkner State Junior College (Coastal Community College) and was head of the Adult Continuing Education Department.

After living and teaching in Bay Minette for twenty years, Ronnie moved to Loxley, Alabama, where he and his bride, Shannon, have lived for 28 years. Ronnie showed his love for Baldwin County in the continual active roles he took around the county. Ronnie and his late father, Cordie Northcutt, established and brought into fruition the East Central Baldwin Water Authority. This water utility company serves 1600 customers in the rural communities across eastern Baldwin County. Ronnie was Vice-Chairman of the Alabama Soil & Water Conservation Committee. He was also a member of Project Rebound, the Loxley Planning Committee, the Alabama Cattlemen's Association and active in many other community outreach programs. Ronnie was just one of those people who always asked, “How can I help?” Then he followed through to make the request come true.

Family took priority in Ronnie’s life. When his twins were young Ronnie coached their little league team. He helped to break a gender barrier by not just coaching Mark but Mandy also. Ronnie coached them for several years and they won many championships. More recently Ronnie has truly enjoyed attending all of his grandchildren’s sporting events. He also loved entertaining them by riding them around his property in his buggy.

Ronnie loved the Lord; to love is to give. Ronnie was loving and had a generous spirit. Survived by his loving wife Shannon Pride Northcutt; twin son and daughter Mark Northcutt and Mandy (Thomas) McGilvary; stepsons Raymond (Anna) Parmer and Greg Parmer; stepdaughter Jana (Sean) Rowley; grandchildren Katie, Walker, Matt, and Gage; step-grandchildren Lauren, Harrison, Alden, and Morgan.
