Ronald Wayne “Ron” Smith, 60, of Daphne, died Monday, April 18, 2016, with his partner, Timothy at his side.

Born in Chicago, Illinois, Ron loved his native city and was a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan.

He and Timothy moved to the Eastern Shore in 2005 and worked as a hair styling team in Fairhope.

Together they became involved with several local community theatres, and worked on numerous productions at Theatre 98, Mobile Theatre Guild, Joe Jefferson Playhouse and Chickasaw Civic Theatre.

Ron loved parties, and he loved his Boston terriers, and he had a deep and patriotic love for his country.

He is survived by his spouse, Timothy Guy (Hodges); three brothers, Charles (Smitty), Robert and Chuck; two sisters, Sharon and Kathy; and many friends.

A celebration of Ron’s life will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at 6 p.m. at the Joe Jefferson Playhouse, 13 S. Carlin St. in Mobile, Alabama.
