Ronnie F. Dyess, age 74, born in Stapleton, and a resident of the Pine Grove Community of Bay Minette, died Friday, Sept. 14, 2012 at Thomas Hospital.
He was a retired machinist and pipefitter at Ingals Ship Building. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Gerald Dyess of Pine Grove; three sons, Kevin Ronnie Dyess of Pine Grove, Randall Lynn (Carla) Dyess of Bay Minette and Clayton Gerald (Karen) Dyess of Stockton; one sister, Roslyn Northcutt of Robertsdale; and four grandchildren, Ashton Dyess, Clayton Dyess, Coleman Dyess and Fletcher Carlisle. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert William and Omelee Camilla Mosley Dyess and his brother, Glenn B. Dyess. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church with the Dr. Jeff Spicer officiating. Burial will follow at Stapleton Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, Sept. 17, 2012 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Norris Funeral Home. Although the family will accept flowers, they suggest memorial contributions be made to the First United Methodist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 338, Bay Minette, AL 36507.
