Gulf Shores, Ala – March 13, 2014 – The City of Gulf Shores has announced the lineup for their Music at Meyer Park concert series.
These annual springtime concerts have become a fan favorite for locals and visitors alike.
On March 27, Rosco Bandana takes the stage to kick off the series. This seven-piece Americana-rock band hails from Gulfport, Miss., and has the distinction of being the first group signed to Hard Rock Records.
Since releasing their debut LP 'Time To Begin' in September 2012, Rosco Bandana has been touring the United States extensively including notable festival appearances at Summer Camp, Yonder Mountain Harvest Festival, Telluride, performing late night at Lollapalooza, and more; in addition to tour dates with Cage The Elephant, Uncle Cracker and upcoming dates with FUN.
Austin-based indie rock band Uncle Lucius takes over Meyer Park on April 10. Uncle Lucius takes rock and roll from its deep roots, pushes it onward by putting their own honest interpretation of new rock sounds with elements of R&B and blues added.
The band includes Kevin Galloway on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Hal Vorpahl on bass, Mike Carpenter on lead guitar and vocals, Josh Greco on drums and percussion, and Jon Grossman on lead vocals, and keys.
The GulfCoast’s own Mulligan Brothers close out the 2014 edition of Music at Meyer Park on April 24. This emerging group from Mobile proves that good stories and lyrics still matter in music and well-written songs don’t need a catchy chorus or a happy ending to win over an audience or to be played over and over.
Their self-titled debut album has drawn rave reviews earning them a spot in this year’s New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival alongside Alabama-based acts Jason Isbell and the Alabama Shakes.
All Music at Meyer Park concerts are free to the public and begin at 6 p.m.
