Roux-Stoddard

Margaret L. Roux of Foley and Robert A. Stoddard of Magnolia Springs were united in marriage Friday, March 6, 2009 at the Victorian Chapel, Gatlinburg, Tenn. The Rev. William Anderson officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of the late Kenneth and Nadine Hawles of Pascagoula, Miss.

She is a graduate of Westbrook High School, Westbrook, Maine and Mississippi Coast Junior College. She is a 1987 graduate of Pascagoula Beauty Academy.

She is retired and was a gift shop owner in Ocean Springs, Miss., and was admissions liason for Columbia Southern University in Gulf Shores.

The bridegroom is the son of Oscar and Doris Rich of Magnolia Springs. Oscar Rich was principal of Foley High School from 1960 to 1975. Doris Rich was a reporter, columnist, and former editor of the Onlooker in Foley.

He is a 1958 graduate of Foley High School, a 1962 graduate of Montevallo University; and graduated in 1971 from Navy Postgraduate School in Montery, Calif.

He is retired and served as a Navy pilot and airline pilot for Braniff and U.S. Airways.

Her children are Malissa Sommerville of Gulfport, Miss., and Nathan Roux of Pascagoula, Miss.

His children are Robert Stoddard Jr. of Daphne, Vickery Stoddard Taylor of Rehoboth Beach, Del., and David Edward Stoddard of Atlanta.
