Orian Langston Rowe, 83, of Bon Secour, died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009 at home in Bon Secour.
He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jesse Rowe and Sarah Kirk Rowe.
Survivors include his wife, Rose Janice Nelson Rowe; daughter, Janice (Reggie) Bateman of Gulf Shores; two sons, Langston (Kim) Rowe Jr. and Phillip (Tina) Rowe, both of Foley; three sisters, Sammie Lamb of Goldsboro, N.C., Hope Watson of Lowland, N.C., and Elizabeth Holland of Virginia Beach, Va.; brother, David Rowe of Washington, N.C.; six grandsons, Phillip (Jennifer) Rowe of Tyler, Texas; Adam (Joy) Rowe of Foley, Ben Rowe of Foley, Braydan Bateman of Gulf Shores, Blake Bateman of Gulf Shores and Hunter Rowe of Foley; four granddaughters, Miranda Rowe of Foley, Crystal Rowe of Foley, Jessica Bateman of Gulf Shores, and Dara Bateman of Gulf Shores; and two great-grandchildren, Gracie Rowe of Tyler, Texas, and Caden Rowe of Tyler, Texas.
Visitation begins at noon with funeral services at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13 at Pine Rest Funeral Home with the Rev. Earl Lee officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Rest Memorial Park.
