Roy Herbert Welsh, a retired U.S. Air Force sergeant with 20 years as a crypto operator, was born Jan. 21, 1932 and died April 26, 2012.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Foley. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Maxine Callaway Welsh; three children, Michael Welsh, wife Karen, Foley, Rick Welsh, Gulf Shores, Darlene Welsh Ashe, husband Greg, Carriere, Miss.; four grandchildren; and one great grandchild, Kevin Welsh, wife Amanda, son Braxton, Foley, Julie Welsh Dombrowski, husband, Sage, Huntsville, Taylor Ashe and Kristen Ashe, Carriere, Miss.
Funeral services were Sunday, April 29, 2012 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Foley. A Graveside Service will be Monday, April 30, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Pine Rest Memorial Park with full military honors.
