Roy Joe Gerety, 77, a native of Overton, Texas and resident of Foley, died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013.
Mr. Gerety was preceded in death by his son, Robert Lynn “Bob” Gerety.
He is survived by his wife, Carole Gerety; sons, William Glen “Bill” (Margaret M.) Gerety of Foley, Sean Eugene (Linda) Gerety of Atlanta and Francis Walter Gerety of Atlanta; grandchildren, Chase Gerety of Gulf Shores, Erin Gerety of Atlanta and Keely Gerety of Atlanta; and brother, Dr. Robert “Bob” (Kay) Gerety of Tulsa, Okla.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013 at Gulf Shores Church of Christ.
