Rufus B. “Buddy” Sanspree, 88, a resident of Summerdale, died Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Sanspree of Summerdale; three daughters, Joann James of Henderson, Tenn., Dora Sanspree of Robertsdale and Virginia Douglas of Magnolia Springs; two sons, Rufus Sanspree of Henderson, Texas, Frankie Sanspree of Livingston, Texas; three step-daughters, Louise Sanspree of Fairhope, Debra Conway of Elberta, Tina Armstead Sanspree Robertsdale; three step-sons, Wayne Sanspree of Summerdale, Winston Sanspree of Orange Beach, Randall Garner of Summerdale; sister, Gussie Mae Minchew of Gateswood; 25 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16 at Mack Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17 from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Alvin Nabors officiating. Burial will follow at Marlow Methodist Cemetery.
