PENSACOLA, Fla. — The National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola welcomes Donald Rumsfeld, who will conduct a booksigning for his new book “Known and Unknown: A Memoir” on Sunday, March 27, beginning at 1 p.m.

Few Americans have spent more time near the center of power than Rumsfeld. Now he has written an unflinching memoir of his half-century career, sharing previously undisclosed details that will fascinate readers and force historians to rethink many controversies.

Rumsfeld was the 13th and 21st U.S. Secretary of Defense. He currently chairs the Rumsfeld Foundation, which supports leadership and public service at home and the growth of free political and free economic systems abroad.

The Rumsfeld Foundation funds microfinance development projects, fellowships for graduate students interested in public service, the development of young leaders from Central Asia and the Caucasus and charitable causes that benefit the men and women of the U.S. armed forces and their families.

The National Naval Aviation Museum features nearly 350,000 square feet of displays and is one of the world’s largest aviation museums. Located aboard Pensacola Naval Air Station, the facility boasts more than 150 beautifully restored aircraft representing Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard aviation.

Be sure to visit the museum’s new expansion, Hangar Bay One, displaying aircraft of the post-WWII era. Among the countless things to touch, see and experience are thrilling Top Gun Air Combat flight simulators and a variety of special exhibits, as well as the drama and power of amazing IMAX films.

The National Naval Aviation Museum is open daily from 9 a.m.–5 p.m., except Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
