Audrey M. Runda, 68, a native of Shakopee, Minn., and resident of Orange Beach, died Saturday, June 19, 2010 in Elk Lake, Ky.
She graduated from Derham Hall High School in St. Paul, Minn. She earned a degree in sociology from Thomas More College, Ft. Mitchell, Ky., and a degree in nursing from the University of Kentucky in Lexington.
She was a licensed nursing home administrator in Kentucky where she and her husband John own two longterm care facilities
She was preceded in death by a brother, the Rev. Merle Monnens.
Survivors include her husband, John C. Runda of Orange Beach; daughter Susan Daugherty (Shane Lyle) of Lexington, Ky., son, John Russell (Sara) Daugherty of Bera, Ky.; two brothers, Verdon and Lawrence Monnes both of Minnesota; a sister, Pat Collins of Cincinnati; grandchildren, Katie, Maddie, Luke and Sophie Daugherty; in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. with the Rosary beginning at 10:30 a.m., followed by Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 29 at St. Margaret's of Scotland Catholic Church in Foley. Burial will follow at St. Margret’s of Scotland Catholic Cemetery in Foley.
