Ruth Ann Morrison, 72, died March 13, 2012, at a Foley hospital. Funeral services were March 24, at the Church of the Brethren in Dallas Center, Iowa, with burial at the Elmwood Cemetery in Minburn, Iowa.

She was born in Decatur County, Iowa, and attended Lineville schools. She married Carroll Morrison on June 28, 1958 in Lineville, Iowa. They lived in Des Moines, Iowa,  and Altoona before moving to Minburn in 1969. Ruth Ann worked at Woodward State Hospital for over 20 years, retiring in 1996. Carroll and Ruth Ann spent retirement years between Orange Beach and Iowa.

She enjoyed quilting, collecting clocks and music boxes. Ruth Ann was a big Hawkeye fan and enjoyed going to her grandson, Nathan’s, college football games. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ruth Ann is survived by her husband of 54 years, Carroll Lewis; children, Penny James and Jerry (Sue) Morrison, both of Dallas Center, and John (Kim) Morrison, Fort Dodge; grandchildren, Chris (Chelsey) Morrison, Nathan (Abby) James, Kelli (Jimmy) Cornelius, Emily James, Dustin (Amanda) Haggard and Tera Moberly; great-grandchildren Hailey Morrison, Katie Mason and Sierra James, Addison and Cohen James, Autumn Easley, Kadyn, Kamdyn and Karsyn Haggard and Peyton Moberly.
