Ruth Ellen Wagner, 88, a resident of Fairhope, passed away on Friday, July 11, 2014.
Mrs. Wagner was a lifelong member of Fairhope United Methodist Church.
She was also an Eastern Star member for more than 50 years, and volunteered with the
Thomas Hospital Auxiliary for more than 15 years.
Ruth was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Amos Claude “Red” Wagner; and brother, Richard Spader.
She is survived by a daughter, Cynthia (Mark) Weiskopf of Silverhill; two sons, Ronnie (Linda) Wagner and Steve Wagner (Todd Prather), both of Fairhope; three grandchildren, Dustin Wagner, Danyel Snell and Leslie Leachman; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Aubrey (Elsie) Spader of Robertsdale; and many other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope on Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at 2 p.m.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the service.
Interment will follow in Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
