Ruth Heurion Krickel, 88, a native of Marinette, Wisc. and resident of Foley, passed away Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014.
Ruth was a professional woman with a degree in accounting, and eventually had her own tax business.
She belonged to many professional organizations such as the League of Women Voters and the Business of Professional Women organization. She held many executive offices as well as being a loyal member.
Also, she firmly believed in helping women further their education and futures.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Edward Krickel; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Heurion; and many other family members.
Survivors include her daughter, Pasty Thoss (Harold S. Thoss Jr.); 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three nieces; and two nephews.
The funeral service was held at Hansen-Onion-Martell Funeral Home in Marinette, Wisc. on Friday, Aug. 8, 2014. Interment followed in Forest Home Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
