Ruth June Dale, 89, of Old Fort, N.C. passed away Saturday, April 6, 2013. She was born June 19, 1923 in Pennsylvania to the late William and Jenny Zehner.
Ruth was a member of Foley United Methodist Church. She loved to cook, knit, cross-stitch, puzzles, football, work in her garden and play cards.
Ruth was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Reuben D. Hess; second husband, James C. Dale; son, Jeffrey Duane Hess; siblings, Eugene, Stan and Mike Zehner, and Florence Readler.
Ruth is survived by her daughter, Karen Scheidler and husband, Harold; stepdaughter, Karen Clickner and husband, Jim; stepson, Craig Dale and wife, Kathy; sisters, Edna Long and Norma DeLeliss; grandchildren, Michelle Ingle and husband, Aaron, Alison Bois and husband, Brian, and Evan Scheidler and wife, Annie; and great-grandchildren, Edison Lafayette Ingle and Gerard Emerson Ingle.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
