Emily Elizabeth Rutter and Joseph Michael Desmond were united in marriage at 7 p.m. Oct. 18, 2008 at Sacred Heart at Pointe Clear on the Bay.
Father Zogaby officated at the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Henry Rutter II of Foley. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles J. Desmond Sr. of Fairhope.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a tiered white gown.
Witnesses were James Henry Rutter III, brother of the bride; and Charles James Desmond, brother of the bridegroom.
After a honeymoon cruise to Mexico, the couple resides in Silverhill.
