Margaret Ellen Ryan and Jeffrey Shane Diedtrich were united in marriage Saturday, Aug. 25, 2007 at First Presbyterian Church in Bay Minette. The Rev. Bruce Fitzgerald officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Burkett Ryan Jr. and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Ray Owen of Bay Minette and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Burkett Ryan of Jacksonville.
The bridegroom is the son of Rita Diedtrich-Findley of Bay Minette and Jimmy Jay of Atmore and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Waldemar Wally Diedtrich of Bay Minette and the late Mr. and Mrs. Henison Jay of Atmore.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a custom gown made by Judy Green of Saraland. The gown’s silk was selected by the bride while she was in China.
Virginia Stephens of Bay Minette served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Abby McCarver of Bartlett, Tenn. and Maggie Middleton of Lula, Miss.
J.D. Drinkard of Bay Minette served as best man. Groomsmen were Tim May of Mobile and Alex Patrick of Pensacola, Fla.
Ushers were brothers of the bride, Robert Jones of Atlanta, Chad Ryan of Navarre Beach, Fla., Benjamin Jones of Montgomery and Kevin Ryan of Milton, Fla.
Special music was provided by Amelia Stephens, vocalist and Charmein Moser, organist.
A reception followed at the John F. Rhodes Civic Center.
After a honeymoon trip to Jamaica, the couple will reside in Atlanta.
