Ross Tatum Saltz, 86, a native of Meridian, Miss., and a resident of Fairhope, died peacefully Friday, March 7, 2008 at home.
He was a retired U.S. Air Force Civil Service procurement manager. He was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church, Fairhope.
He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying the woods and waters of Alabama. He will be remembered as a loving and supportive husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Nell Saltz.
Survivors include two sons, Leon (Carol) Saltz, and Vann (Brenda) Saltz; grandchildren, Tatum, Grant and Jared Saltz; and great-grandson, Hayden Saltz.
Funeral services and visitation were held Tuesday, March 11 at the First Baptist Church of Fairhope. Interment followed at Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund.
