Samuel Colton Pipkin, 80, died Jan. 16, 2013 in Picayune, Miss.

He was a native of Stockton, Ala., and a resident of Fairhope for over 20 years. Sam was an Auburn graduate and a retired salesman for AT&T. He was of Presbyterian faith, a Mason, Shriners, and belonged to the Rotary Club. He was also an Army veteran who served during the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Pipkin and Mamie Thompson Pipkin; two brothers, Henry and Robert Pipkin, and sister, Grace Allen. He is survived by two sons, Henry and Stevan K. Hill; two grandsons, Scott (Karen) and Jason Hill; great-granddaughter, Monica Ann Hill, and sister, Mamie Lou Hughes. A memorial service will be held on Saturday Feb. 23, 2013 at 10 a.m. in the Ball Room at Homestead Village in Fairhope, Ala.
