Sara Sudduth DeVuyst, 91, went to be with her Lord on March 21, 2015.
She was born Jan. 27, 1924 in McAdams, Miss. She married Gerald DeVuyst in 1956, and they had one son, Peter Richard.
She is survived by them, as well as a daughter-in-law; two grandchildren, Grant DeVuyst and Gretchen Helbling and their spouses; and three nieces and nephews.
She attended Blue Mountain College and enjoyed a long career of teaching math and music. She was volunteer of the year in Fairhope in 2007, and played the wedding March for her granddaughter a year ago.
Memorial services were held at Heritage Gardens in Niceville, Fla.
