Sarah Crain Pierce, 77, a native of Memphis, Tenn., and a resident of Fairhope, died Wednesday, July 13, 2011.
She was a founding member of Fish River Baptist Church. She and her husband were the owners and operators of Pierce Brahma Farms, as well as Pierce Tile and Marble. She was a sweet loving mother and nanna and will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard A. Pierce Jr.; two sons, Charles L. Wood Jr. and Larry P. Wood.
Survivors include daughter, Nichole Pierce (Mike) Brenny of Fairhope; sons, Chase A. Pierce of Fairhope, Terry (Cathy) Wood and David Wood of Birmingham; step-daughter, Vicki Pierce of Mobile; grandchildren, Sarah Madison Brenny, Nolan Pierce Brenny,
Jackson Wood, Carolyn Wood, Mary Blakely Wood and Shannon Wood; sisters, Paula Spain and Carol Harris, both of Birmingham; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 15 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 16 at Fish River Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Timney South River Park Cemetery.
