Danny Joe Sargent Sr., 63, a former resident of Dora and a resident of Bay Minette, passed away Monday Dec. 24, 2012.
He was retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad. He was preceded in death by his parents, Owen J. and Norma Kay Sargent. Survivors include his beloved wife of 38 years, Sheila Sargent; children, Joe Sargent, Bruce (Bridget) Sargent, Jennifer (Charles) Rosato, Janene (Jay) Symms, Patrick (Malorie) Sargent and Jesse Sargent; grandchildren, Joanna Sargent, Trey (Kasie) Sargent, Blake Walters, Morgan Minor, Madison Gwin, Will Symms, Ava Sargent, Troy Rosato and Jack Sargent; great-grandchild, Cooper Bee Sargent; brothers, Don (JoAnn) Sargent and David (Jean) Sargent; sisters, Shirley Sargent and Brenda Sargent; several nieces and nephews. Visitation begins at noon with funeral services at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29 from the chapel of New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Brandon Dill officiating.
