Linda Savarese of Irondale announces the engagement of her daughter, Elena Savarese of Birmingham, to Samuel Di Benedetto of Fairhope, the son of Mattie Di Benedetto and Vincent Di Benedetto.
The bride-elect is a 2007 graduate of the University of Alabama, 07 with a Masters of Arts degree in teaching English as a second language. She works in educational testing services at Princeton.
The prospective bridegroom is a graduate Spring Hill College withe a degree in business. He works in Fairhope.
The couple will exchange vows at 2 p.m. Dec. 19, 2009 at Spring Hill College, Mobile.
