GULF SHORES, Ala. — City of Gulf Shores Entertainment Series 2009 presents actor-comedian Don McArt in “Say Goodnight Gracie” Monday and Tuesday (Jan. 18 and 19) at the Erie H. Meyer Civic Center, corner of West 19th Avenue and West Second Street in Gulf Shores.

The doors open at 7 p.m. and the show begins 7:30.

Tickets are $26 for preferred seats and $22 for good seats. Tickets for these two performances will be on sale Monday and Tuesday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

The story unfolds as George Burns (McArt) is trying to find his way to heaven, where he will be reunited with his beloved Gracie Allen.

Before this can happen, however, he must give the command performance of his life for God.

Through classic film clips and the recorded vocal talents of actress Didi Conn (Frenchie in the motion picture, “Grease”), we’re invited to travel along through the tender love story of these American icons.

This award-winning play was one of the longest-running shows on Broadway.
