FOLEY — South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce has named local radio station Sunny 105.7 as the Business of the Month for June. WCSN-FM, known to local listeners as Sunny 105.7 celebrates 20 of serving the south Baldwin County, Perdido Key and Pensacola this July. Sunny 105.7 brings a “classic hits” music format to the coast and recent surveys indicate that an average of 18,000 people listen each day.
Station owner Lee Hagen believes the popularity of the station stems from not only the music, but more importantly the station’s concentration on providing local information and event coverage that keeps listeners informed and entertained. On air personalities include “Rick and Bubba,” Lisa Christian, Kevin Keith, Ron Wainscott and “Big Daddy.”
Don Brown, general manager, is proud of the results clients get from their use of the station to promote their businesses.
“There is no other single station serving the area with the number of listeners Sunny 105.7 enjoys. We are happy that with the large number of radio stations that can be heard here, the most listeners of any one station belong to Sunny 105,” Brown said.
Station Program Director Kevin Keith encourages all nonprofit groups to inform the station of any upcoming activities for use on their community calendar.
“Our participation with Christmas toy drives, community organization fundraisers and city events help make these efforts more successful,” said Keith.
