Start off with singers, add actors, toss in some food and you get the recipe for the South Baldwin Community Theatre’s Season Ticket Showcase and Gala, today (Sept. 22) from 3 to 5 p.m. at the theater in Gulf Shores.

“All of this is an opportunity for us to let everyone know about South Baldwin Community Theatre,” said Tom Faison, SBCT board member.

This year’s Showcase and Gala includes performances by members of the “Annie” and “Sing Hallelujah!” casts. “Annie” opens Oct. 5 at SBCT and “Sing Hallelujah” debuts Jan. 10.

The afternoon also will feature an update on the capital construction project at the theater. When complete in early 2008, the theater will have a new rehearsal hall, kitchen, lobby area and office.

Season tickets, that cost $66, will be available for purchase during the Showcase and Gala.

The theater is at 2022 W. Second St., directly across from the Gulf Shores tennis courts and the Bodenhamer Recreation Center.
