Edward William Schoen, 66, a lifelong resident of Elberta, died Monday, Sept. 28, 2009

He worked for National Airlines and PanAm Airlines for 20 years. He was also the owner and operator of the Lady Punkin and the Desperado commercial trawlers for 15 years. He also worked at Advanced Plastics in Elbertafor the last 17 years.

He was a lifelong member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church.

Survivors include three sons, Scott (Stephanie) Schoen of Foley, Craig Schoen of Elberta and Andrew Schoen of Silverhill; five brothers, August (Rosie) Schoen of Elberta, Joe (Ileana) Schoen of Pensacola, Henry Schoen of Jackson, Miss., Otto (Clara) Schoen of Josephine, and Harold (Marie) Schoen of Elsanor; sister Charlotte Ulrich of Elberta; grandchildren, Cory, Lauren, Will and Emily; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services and visitation were held Thursday, Oct. 1 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home. Interment followed at St. Mark’s Lutheran Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., Foley.
