FAIRHOPE, Ala. — Over 150 people took advantage of a break in the weather Saturday morning and came out to support the Fairhope public school libraries at the inaugural Bookin4Books 5K Plot Trot and One Mile Pun Run.

In the 5K Plot Trot, Rodney Smith, 36, of Fairhope was the top overall male and Ramayee Nadarajan, 16, a student at Fairhope High, was the top overall female.

The Kiwanis Club of Fairhope and the Eastern Shore has organized Bookin4Books to rally the Fairhope community in an effort to support Fairhope’s six public school libraries at the K-1 Center, Elementary, J. Larry Newton, Intermediate, Middle and High schools.
